Demon Slayer Season 4 Confirmed in Production
On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, two fairly reputable news accounts published a leaked confirmation regarding Demon Slayer Season 4, which claimed that work on the anime series had begun. While the news itself isn’t necessarily shocking given the massive success the anime has seen over the past three seasons, it’s interesting to see a fourth season in production so soon.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, no other news has been released for the upcoming Demon Slayer season 4. Fans are not sure when the official announcement will come, let alone the teasers, release windows and more. However, they are still incredibly excited to hear that a fourth season is already in production.
As the third season is nearing its final episodes, fans can expect official news about Demon Slayer Season 4 to come after the final season ends.
Demon Slayer season 4 may focus on Hashira’s training arc
The two most prominent news accounts to confirm the Demon Slayer Season 4 production leak are Twitter users @DemonSlayerSc and @shueishaleaks. Both accounts recently sent out tweets claiming to be such, seemingly confirming each other as a result. No other credible accounts have stepped in to dispute the claims.
As a result, fans are looking ahead and wondering what exactly the upcoming season will adapt. While this article won’t offer any direct spoilers, it will speculate on what manga arcs might be adapted and what exactly it will reveal to fans. Likewise, a reliable inclusion for the fourth season is the Hashira Training arc, which comprises chapters 128–136 of the original manga series.
As part of this story arc, it is heavily speculated that fans should receive key information about characters and organizations that have not yet been revealed. Giyu Tomioka is easily the most popular choice in this regard, as he is a fan favorite despite his controversial appearance and so little is known about him.
Fans should also learn more about the origins of the Demon Slayer Corps. While the group’s raison d’etre has already been highlighted, how exactly it came to be and who its founding members were is still unknown at the time of writing. Many fans are looking for more information on these topics by the end of the series.
While fans should also see the Infinity Castle arc (chapters 137-183) at least partially adapted in season four, it is unknown if season four will cover this penultimate arc in its entirety. Many fans instead argue that the series will likely split this penultimate arc into two unequal pieces, tying the smaller of the two together with the compelling Sunrise Countdown arc (chapters 183-205).
