The upcoming episode will feature Muichiro’s one-on-one battle with Upper Moon Five Gyokko. As the demon wonders how to free Muichiro from the vase, the demon uses his newly developed powers to corner him.
Muichiro thanks Kanamori for forging the sword for him. He also remembers Tetsuido, the man who forged his very first sword. He died of heart disease some time ago.
Muichiro uses Mist Breathing Fifth Form against Gyokko and taunts him terribly. He insults Gyokko’s vases – something the latter is very proud of. Muichiro’s provocation leads to Gyokko using the extremely powerful technique of his Blood Demon Art.
However, Muichiro easily counters this until Gyokko is forced to adopt a new form. Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 8 will primarily focus on the ongoing battle between a demon and a demon slayer as they reveal their true powers to each other.
Demon Slayer season 3 will reveal Muzan’s goal
The Demon Slayer’s primary antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji, is the Demon King, the first of his kind and the ancestor of all demons in existence. He is also the leader of the Twelve Kizuki, a group of 12 of the most powerful demons working directly under him.
During the Heian era, more than a millennium ago, a doctor treated Muzan’s terminal illness with an experiment that turned her into a demon. Muzan created the Twelve Kizuki to achieve his goal and still lives in the shadows.

What Does Demon Slayer Season 3 Reveal About Muzan’s Goal?
Ever since becoming a demon, Muzan’s goal has always been to become a “perfect being”. He wants to get rid of all his weaknesses. But the only thing he can’t beat is the sun.
All demons have a natural weakness for sunlight, as they disintegrate when exposed to sunlight. Although Muzan is terribly powerful, he is no different. The fact that he needs to hide in the shadows hurts his pride.
Muzan’s dream is to one day stand proudly under the sun and live his life freely. When it comes to defeating the Demon Slayer Corps, he simply wants to destroy any obstacle that stands in his way.
Muzan keeps creating demons and hopes that one of them will conquer the sun. Finally, his wish comes true as Nezuko stands under the sunlight. However, Muzan is unable to achieve his powers and dies in the manner he fears most.
What happens in the Swordsmith Village Arc?
The “Swordsmith Village Arc” features the Demon Slayers’ battle with the two Upper Moons. Gyokko and Hantengu attack the village with terrifying abilities that the heroes cannot understand.
At the end of the battle, Hantengu is cornered by Nezuko and decides to pull her towards the sun. However, what Tanjiro and the others couldn’t have imagined was that Nezuko would not only survive the sunlight, but could also now speak clearly.
This is a sign that Nezuko is slowly transforming back into a human. However, Muzan watches all of this play out with his powers and realizes that Nezuko is the only key that will help him become a perfect immortal.
He abandons his quest for the Blue Spider Lily, believed to be the only way to cure him. Instead, Muzan devotes all of his attention to somehow using Nezuko to fulfill her dream.
This is shown in the final episode of Demon Slayer Season 3, where Muzan appears in the form of a child and kills his adoptive family on a whim.
Demon Slayer: The only Upper Moon recognized by Muzan
In Demon Slayer, the Twelve Kizuki are the most powerful group of demons gathered by Muzan to deal with the Demon Slayer Corps and help him find the Blue Spider Lily.

During the fight with Nezuko, Hantengu pulls her towards the sun when he realizes that he cannot defeat her. Seeing this all play out, Tanjiro is horrified at the prospect of seeing Nezuko die.
Being a demon, he cannot survive under the sun. Unable to control his overwhelming grief, Tanjiro manages to kill Hantenga, but mourns his sister’s death. However, Nezuko appears unmuzzled, standing under the sun and greeting her brother.
Because Muzan’s blood binds him to those with whom he shares it, he is always aware of the actions of the Upper Moon. Therefore, as soon as he sees Nezuko under the sunlight, he is excited about the new development. He also praises Hantenga, making him the only Upper Moon in Demon Slayer to receive recognition from an original demon.
Desperate to stand free under the sunlight, Muzan searches for the Blue Spider Lily, the only way to achieve his goal. However, with her new power, Nezuko realizes that she can achieve her dream if she consumes it. Fortunately, Muzan never consumes Nezuko and dies under the sun he has feared for over 1,000 years.

Muzan’s blood demon art is known as “Biokinesis”. It allows him to change his body and shape it at will. Although all demons have this innate ability, Muzan enhances it by modifying his flesh and organs.
Biokinesis is also the only reason Muzan was able to hide from the Demon Slayer Corps for 1000 years. However, his Blood Demon Art provides much more than just the ability to change shapes.
In Infinity Castle, Muzan transforms into a massive flesh cocoon during battle to dissolve the poison that turns him back into a human. Muzan then emerges from the chrysalis in a stronger form, with jaws sprouting all over his body to quickly kill and swallow the demon slayers to regain his power.
His biokinetic powers also give him the ability to make meat puppets and control them. He also has a unique anatomy that he obtained by manipulating and modifying his own physiological traits.
Muzan Kibutsuji is the only character in Demon Slayer to have a total of seven hearts and five brains. These special organs seem to be significantly responsible for much of his exceptionally strong constitution and resistance to decapitation by Nichirin’s swords.
Muzan uses two basic techniques of his Blood Demon Art: “Black Blood, Brambles and Shockwave Energy Blast”. Black Blood, Brambles allows him to use his own flesh and blood to create multiple black barbed wires that entangle his target.
On the other hand, Shockwave Energy Blast is the ability to project shockwaves of energy-like energy with a long range that destroys the nervous system of Muzan’s targets. Targets suffer extreme seizures and convulsions, even briefly rendering them unable to breathe. Shockwave Energy Blast is one of Muzan Kibutsuji’s terrifying abilities in Demon Slayer.
Muzan’s Demonic Blood grants him special abilities beyond his Blood Demon arts
Muzan Kibutsuji is the only character in Demon Slayer who turns humans into demons. Not only that, he can further enhance their powers by giving them more of his blood. However, this depends on how much the recipient’s blood can withstand and adapt.
Muzan can read the thoughts of other demons he shares his blood with simply by looking at them. He can also communicate telepathically with other demons and hold lengthy dialogues with them.
He once appeared in Akaz’s mind to convince him to continue fighting. He later communicated with Kokushibo to find out how many Hashiros he had defeated and instructed him to hold them at bay until he recovered from Tamayo’s poison.
Muzan has very keen senses that allow him to notice things that are outside the typical range of perception. He identified the existence of humans even though they were scattered around the mountain and found that injured demon slayers regained consciousness while far away from them.
Demon Slayer: Thunder Breathing 7th form explained
Fast-paced action and narrative, Demon Slayer focuses on demon slayers fighting immortal demons to protect humanity. Fighting such powerful creatures that heal almost instantly and have no weaknesses is practically impossible.
However, the power of breath and their special Nichirin Swords sets these demonic slayers apart. These killers put their lives on the line to protect the world and ultimately destroy Muzan Kibutsuji.
One such demon slayer is Zenitsu Agatsuma, known for being a coward and a whiner. The series is taking its sweet time developing, but Zenitsu is becoming an iconic character thanks to his newly developed skill. Aside from Giyu, he is the only character to have evolved his original breathing form.
What is Thunder Breathing in Demon Slayer?
Thunder Breathing is a breathing style that simulates lightning, especially rapid strikes and movements. It resembles lightning that tears through the sky, with the movements, methods and abilities of the user. All known techniques and forms require the use of blinding speeds and extremely fast attacks to completely overwhelm the opponent in an instant. Users are experienced when using Thunder Breathing techniques.
Even after becoming a demon, Kaigaku uses the skills he learned as a human. His Blood Demon art is “Electrokinesis”, which uses various forms of thunder breathing.
During their fight, Zenitsu was at a great disadvantage against Kaigaku until he used a seventh form called “Honoikazuchi no Kami”, literally “God of Flaming Thunder”.
To use this technique, Zenitsu runs forward at breakneck speed and unleashes a single forward slash from a low stance. It is accompanied by a yellow Japanese dragon in the shape of lightning.
